At JWDA we are so proud of our troupes and soloists. All the students work so

hard and improve everyday. Here are some of our highlights from 2017/2018

We are so proud of our little soloist Scarlett Hopkins.

At only six years old, she took out the title of Petite Dancer of the Year at Showcase Nationals in January 2018, competing in the under 8’s. In July she will be representing JWDA at the World Dance Movement in Italy. 

In 2017, Scarlett was the Runner Up Winner at Get the Beat Nationals and will be travelling to Los Angeles to compete in the KAR Nationals in 2018. Congratulations little one.

Monty has become such a beautiful dancer over her years at JWDA.

In 2017 she won the Teen Dancer of the Year at Showcase Nationals and won a trip to The World Dance Movement in Spain. In January 2018 she was awarded Teen Dancer of the Year at Hollywood Bound and is off to Italy in July to represent JWDA.

Nikitta has had a fantastic 2018 so far.

She has won the title of Junior Dancer of the Year at Hollywood Bound and is off to Italy to dance at The World Dance Movement. Nikitta has also been awarded KAR’s People’s Choice Ultimate Dancer Award and has won a trip to the USA to compete at the National Finals in 2018. She’s an amazing dancer with a very bright future ahead of her.

I was so honoured to be awarded Choreographer of the Year at Get the Beat Nationals last year

Destruction was choreographed in 2016 and tells the story of what fire does to our environment.

We are so thrilled with this consistently winning routine. The Under 10 troupes perform this contemporary piece with grace and style.

Destruction also won the DanceLife National Winning Troupe 2016, Get the Beat Nationals Highest Scoring Act 2017 and The Ultimate Dance Comp Highest Scoring Act, 2017

Alex Borg has been a student at JWDA since the age of 7. Alex now teaches at JWDA and studies fulltime at Sydney Dance Company. Alex has had huge success over the years winning Dancer of thr Year at Showcase and Get the Beat. Alex recently won the Most Outstanding Male Perfomer at the Short Sharp Dance Festival.

Our beautiful Sienna was crowned Petite Dancer of the Year at Hollywood Bound in 2017 and travelled to Spain to compete at The World Dance Movement. In 2018, Sienna was awarded Runner Up for Petite Dancer of the Year at Showcase Nationals. Congratulations on an incredible year of stunning dancing.

Sara sings like an angel and was the 2017 DanceLife Unite National Voice Champion. Early in 2018, Sara took out the winning place in the Paravision Song Contest.

Tiana has been a student at JWDA since she was a toddler. Tiana is currently studying all styles of dance and is a very successful JWDA soloist. She is very well deserving of the  JWDA Junior Scholarship for this year.

Chevonne is our amazing Senior Scholarship winner for this year. She has been at JWDA since she was a toddler. Chevonne is currently studying all styles of dance and is a very successful JWDA soloist.
